ALBANY, N.Y. – Hudson River Community Credit Union was recently presented with UsNet’s annual Ralph W. Hillman Award. The award, named after the former UsNet chairman, recognizes the shared branching marketing efforts of a participating UsNet credit union.
UsNet is a New York-based credit union service organization that provides access to more than 5,400 shared branches in and beyond the U.S., which represents the nation’s third largest network of financial institution branches.
Hudson River Community CU joined UsNet in 2015. Upon joining the network, the credit union quickly began promoting the benefits of shared branching to members, helping to build greater awareness through marketing campaigns and shared branching promotions. Notably, the credit union helped bring the network to residents in the Adirondack region for the first time ever.
“Hudson River Community has displayed tremendous leadership and a commitment to the shared branching model since joining UsNet last year,” said Bywater. “Thanks to their hard work and dedication, more New Yorkers than ever now have access to the credit union system.”
The CUSO, which is owned by New York credit unions and the New York Credit Union Association York, presented the award during the Association’s 2016 Annual Meeting & Convention, which was held June 16-19 in Saratoga Springs.
